Cruise: Day One, Leaving NYC

After fighting some pretty nasty traffic on our way into the city we finally made it to the cruise ship with about fifteen minutes to spare.  Making our way to the top of the ship to wave goodbye to the muddy waters of the Hudson River, we noticed we were among the most, erm, “able-bodied” of our fellow cruisers.  Seems not a lot of people under the age of 50 want to take a cruise to a colder climate in the beginning of fall.  Luckily, when we sat down to dinner we were greeted by Aaron and Meghan, on their honeymoon, whose first words to us were, “Thank God there are people our age on this cruise!”
