Water Baby

I was a water baby.  I loved being in the water.  I still do.

Todd was a record holding backstroker in college.  He is still the fastest swimmer I know.

So, it should be no great surprise that our baby daughter has an exceptional appreciation for and aptitude in the water.

This is the photo all the news channels will use when she is in the Olympics.

She has had one swim lesson and she’s already swimming laps around those other lazy babies* in her class!!

“I don’t know why you guys are making such a big fuss… I was born to do this”

Though Todd’s intense work schedule prevented him from attending her first swim lesson, he and I took Margot for a little refresher course in the pool this evening.

He was positively beaming with pride when she expertly kicked her little feet and propelled herself in the water!

Just taking a little breather from being the best baby swimmer of all time.

*There are not actually any lazy babies in her class, they are all adorable and equally impressive swimmers… but, Margot IS the youngest in the class and she IS actually pretty amazing at everything she ever does in life ever.
